This intermediate course is designed for people who have been consistently climbing indoors and are ready to move outside!
The gym to crag course is a 2 day program. We spend the first evening at The Climbing Wall reviewing and learning new techniques and skills (usually 4-6 hours), and the second day is spent out at a local climbing area practicing and perfecting those newly learned skills and techniques (usually 6-8 hours).
Participants must be belay certified at The Climbing Wall or able to pass an experience test-out before signing up for this class. We can have up to 4 participants per session. This course can be scheduled as a private lesson with a min. of 2 participants or is occasionally offered as a clinic on set dates. Climbers must be belay certified at The Climbing Wall or be able to pass an experience test-out to be eligible for the Gym to Crag class.
This class does not certify the ability to climb outside without an instructor, but is instead meant to provide a detailed introduction to the world of outdoor climbing.
